noon promo codes: Egypt vs the Gulf

By CodyPick · Updated

Welcome. I’m Cody Bey, and for noon I keep two codes, not one: one for Egypt and one for the Gulf. That sounds simple until someone pastes the Gulf code into an Egyptian basket and wonders why it was turned down. This guide sorts it out, one country at a time.

noon is a shopping platform selling electronics, fashion, beauty, home, baby products and toys, plus groceries and restaurant food delivery. Every rate and cap below comes from the terms of the two codes as our partner network supplied them. Nothing is added or guessed.

The two codes at a glance: D3z for Egypt, b3w for the Gulf

  • D3z: noon’s code for Egypt only.
  • b3w: noon’s code for Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.

The rule I give every guest: the code follows the noon country you are shopping on, not your nationality or where you live. If your basket is on noon Egypt, use D3z. If it is on noon Saudi Arabia, the UAE or one of the other Gulf countries listed, use b3w. We don’t currently list a noon code for Jordan.

The cap by country and customer type

Both codes are titled for new customers, but the terms give existing customers a rate too, and in some countries it is lower. Here are the terms side by side:

Country Code New customer Existing customer
Egypt D3z 10%, capped at EGP 50 5%, capped at EGP 25
Saudi Arabia & UAE b3w 10%, up to 50 SAR/AED 5%, up to 10
Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain & Qatar b3w 10%, up to AED 50 10%, up to AED 50

The percentage is worked out on your basket, but the discount stops at the cap. A made-up example: a new customer in Saudi Arabia with a 300 SAR basket. 10% is 30 SAR, which is under the cap, so the discount is 30. With an 800 SAR basket, 10% would be 80, but the cap is 50, so the discount is 50.

An existing customer in Saudi Arabia or the UAE follows the same logic with smaller numbers: 5% of a 300 SAR basket is 15, but the cap is 10, so the discount is 10. Egypt works the same way: existing customers get 5% until the discount reaches EGP 25.

The toys exception

Toys get their own rates in the b3w terms: new customers get 10% up to 100, and existing customers get 5% up to 50. So the cap on toys is higher than on everything else.

The toys rate sits right after the Saudi and UAE rates in the terms, and the Egypt code D3z mentions no special toys rate. If your basket is mostly toys, look at the discount on the checkout page before you confirm. That figure has the final word.

Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and Qatar

The terms are simpler in these four countries: 10% for new and existing customers alike, capped at AED 50. If you already have a noon account, don’t worry; you get the same rate.

How to apply the code

  1. Open the CodyPick noon page for the country you’re shopping in, such as noon Saudi Arabia, noon UAE or noon Egypt.
  2. Tap “Copy code” and read the terms underneath.
  3. Open noon and make sure you’re on the right country’s site or app.
  4. Add your items to the basket.
  5. Paste the code into the discount code field before you pay.
  6. Check the order total and make sure the discount shows before you confirm.

Why noon sometimes rejects a code

The code is for another country

This is the one I see most. b3w doesn’t cover Egypt, and D3z doesn’t cover the Gulf. If a code is refused, check which country noon is set to first.

You’ve hit the cap

The code isn’t really rejected here, but the discount looks smaller than you expected. On a large basket, 10% goes past the cap, so the discount stops at the cap, as the table shows.

You’re an existing customer

In Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt, existing customers get 5% with a lower cap. If you expect 10% on an older account, it can look as if the code failed, when it was actually applied at the existing-customer rate.

A copying slip

Copy the code from the page instead of typing it, and make sure no extra space came along with it.

A last word from Cody Bey

In short: pick the code by country, know whether you count as a new or existing customer, and work out the cap before you judge. If you’re comparing prices, check the product price on noon itself before applying the code; we don’t list product prices.

We may earn a commission from noon if you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. It doesn’t change how we rank codes.
